You know you have to really, really have been pushed to the brink to respond that way the “Jet Blue Guy” did. I’m sure it’s not the first time he was berated by a passenger, so I’m sure there was a ton of other things going on in his life to bring him to that breaking point.
A part of me wants to root for him, but the grownup, and now parental part of me shakes my head and say “Now, that was stupid, think of the cost to the airline, and the impact you just made on the other passengers that weren’t even involved.”….but I beat that last part of me into submission and Root anyways.
I think we all have thoughts of great ways to quit, I actually had an opportunity to tell one of my bosses to kiss my A** and walk out after he got in my face and cussed me out to belittle me in front of other employees. I felt justified at the moment, but after the fact I realized that my actions there could have really affected my chances of getting a good job in the future, fortunately that did not happen. I’m just glad my internal instinct to beat the tar out of him did not take over.
